Transparent Real Estate (one of the blogs I read daily) has a great post about all of the new real estate search engines out there. With so many companies entering the space – it is difficult to figure out where you should start your search – unless of course you are searching for lake property or land -=). This rush to the online real estate search space reminds me of the early days of the web when we had several web portals and search engines to choose from.
If history is any indicator – one or two of these sites will catch on and the rest will end up closing their doors. The odds are stacked up against most new comers – when is the last time you used excite, altavista, or lycos to search the web? Checkout Pat Kitano’s A rash of property search engines for a good overview of this crowded space.
