We will be writing/blogging frequently about life at the lake, what to think about when buying/selling lakefront property, money saving ideas, interesting lakeshore listings, life at an Internet “startup” (if you can call a 3 year old a startup), technology, the real estate industry, and any other topics that pop into our heads on a given day.
LakePlace.com is a unique website and a very unique real estate company – as a matter of fact, it is the first of it’s kind.
As you may be aware, LakePlace.com went from 1,400 lakeshore listings to 20,000+ lakeshore listings over the past few months and changed from an online classified ads website to a full-fledged real estate company. We intend to change the way waterfront property is bought and sold…or at least improve it. We hand selected the best agents in each lake area to represent LakePlace.com buyers and sellers. Unlike a traditional brokerage, we specialize in only one area of real estate – the waterfront market. We know..we know, every real estate office in Minnesota & Wisconsin “specializes” in waterfront property (along with commercial, residential, condos, townhomes, farms/acreage, etc., etc…). The word “specialize” kind of lost its meaning over the years. We aim to bring it back.
Its a pretty simple concept – bring waterfront buyers and sellers together. Buying or selling a waterfront property is a unique process with many variables not present in the typical real estate transaction. By focusing 100% of our efforts on this one sector of the market, we feel that we are better suited to meet the needs of our clients. We have worked around the clock to make LakePlace.com the easiest way for a buyer to find the property of their dreams – We know we have a long way to go, but we think we are off to a good start.
